Dad Days Out – All you need to know about East Barnet Festival

2 Mins read

Living in London we are spoilt for choice when it comes to days out with the kids. So much so that you can easily miss a good day out. Which is why I want to make you aware of the East Barnet Festival. It’s North London’s Biggest free festival and, having lived close by, I have personally supported the festival for years.

What Can you Expect at the Festival

East Barnet Festival has been going for 25 years. It hosts music stages, a car show, a fun fair, stalls, dog show, kids activities. Plus, don’t forget to check out the performances by the kids from Al Pascal Music. A personal favourite of mine, they showcase young talented musicians from Barnet and I’ll be hosting their stage as I have done for a few years now.

As North London’s largest free festival, there is an amazing team that runs the event every year for the love of the community. This year the festival is taking place on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd of July. We have been promised some great bands, mostly local, some not local, playing one of the 2 stages..
Headlining this year are The Foundations, (Build me up Buttercup) and Silencerz (Madness Lee Thompson’s band).

East Barnet Festival Fun Fair

As it’s the 25th anniversary and it’s not been able to run for the last two years – the organisers are hoping for a big turnout. To mark the occasion and to keep the soul of the festival burning bright they also launched a brand new website where you can find all the information about the weekend’s fun!

Great Food At East Barnet Festival

One of the best things about the festival is the food. With lots of little stalls you can sample foods from around the world. From curry, to burgers, to kebabs, to Caribbean food, there is something for everyone. Just make sure you bring your appetite, you’ll probably end up doing both lunch and dinner there!

Also look out for Dadvengers community regular Dans Deli . Dan has a stall this year selling some of North London’s finest condiments. Tell him we sent you and who knows, you may get a Dadvengers discount (no promises).
