Our 4-week course covers all the essential aspects of becoming a dad, from preparing for the arrival of your baby to supporting your partner, and even taking care of your own well-being. With 1 x 2-hour session every week, you’ll learn:
Week 1: Preparing for Baby
- Mentally preparing for fatherhood: Tackling common worries and concerns.
- Essential communication with your partner before the birth.
- Understanding baby essentials: What you really need vs. what can wait.
- What to expect during labour and how to support your partner.
Week 2: Practical Parenting (Part 1)
- Supporting mum post-birth, both physically and emotionally.
- Taking care of your mental health and why it’s so important.
- Learning key skills like nappy changing and bathing your baby.
Week 3: Practical Parenting (Part 2)
- Feeding, comforting, and bonding with your baby.
- Managing work/life balance after baby arrives.
- Addressing any ongoing worries you may still have.
Week 4: Establishing a Routine
- Enjoying playtime and getting out with your new baby.
- Staying connected to support networks and dad groups.
- Maintaining your own mental health and well-being.
Who Can Attend?
Our course is remote or in-person, making it accessible to dads all over the UK. We run sessions in the evenings and on weekends, so you can join us at a time that works best for you. Each cohort is capped at just 12 dads, ensuring a supportive, intimate environment.
